With these words, referring to several strange presences that sometimes appear in his Residence, the character of the Professor, inspired by the figure of Count Theodoric Moretti-Costanzi (a celebrated philosopher native of Umbria and illustrious lecturer of Theorist Philosophy at the University of Bologna), invites us to follow him around the “Palazzo del Capra”. From this moment on the Palace becomes a Theatre, a truly particular Theatre: in every room we can see events and reconstructions of historical episodes which happened in or around it. Performers in this show are this Professor and the ghosts of illustrious guests: some of these, perhaps not so well-known, are ancestors of the landlord; others are quite famous historical personalities such as the Carthaginian General Hannibal Barca and the Roman Consul Caius Flaminius.
The show is built of “layers”, just as the architecture of the Palace seems to be structured. Every layer belongs to a different period: we travel from the first half of the last century, when the Professor lives, to the seventeenth century, when his ancestor Veronica used to live in the Palace; to 217 B.C.E., period of the Battle of Trasimeno, between Hannibal and Flaminius' troops.
